What is T.I.C.T.A.C?

T.I.C.T.A.C. is a council of youth, ages 13 to 18, which work with teh Youth Services Coordinator. T.I.C.T.A.C. stands for "Teens Initiating Change - Together and Committed"

Our mission statement is: "To help the library become a more inviting, appealing place for youth, and to enhance youth library services and programs in the commuinty"

How do I become a T.I.C.T.A.C. member?

  • Be between the ages of 13 and 18, or in grade 7 to 12
  • Be a library member (It's FREE !!)
  • Fill out an application form
  • Be able to spend about 5 hours per month with the T.I.C.T.A.C group
  • Should enjoy working with others as a team
  • Should be interested in the library, and improving library services for teens

What does a T.I.C.T.A.C. member do?

  • Be an advocate for youth and library services
  • Attend meetings which are held every three weeks on Sunday afternoons.
  • Enhance and update the library collection for youth
  • Plan fun and exciting montly teen activity nights
  • Attend the activity nights, and assist in preparation and clean-up.
  • Help keep the website up-to-date with ideas and creativity.
  • Help recruit new T.I.C.T.A.C. members
  • Create partnerships between T.I.C.T.A.C., the Library, and the Community.
