Technology and Computer Access

Types of Computers

The Medicine Hat Public Library provides unfiltered computer access for your free use.
There are various computers at the library that all serve different functions:

Public Internet Computers (Adult)

There are 13 computers located on the lower level in the Reference Services department. These computers are available for people aged 13 and over and can be accessed in 1 hour slots, to a maximum of two slots per day. If no one is waiting, the system will allow you to continue to stay on the computer until one is required by another patron. Computers are managed by a reservation system and are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. You can pre-book a computer in advance by calling Reference Services at (403)-502-8538. Alternatively, you can book using the self-service reservation station when you are in the library. Using a public internet computer requires a vaild library card or an 'Internet Access Card' - (what's this?)
