Youth services encompasses all services and programs aimed at young people ages 13-18. |
These include:
- A young adult area with comfortable seating, a listening station, a work area and the young adult magazines and fiction collection.
- Summer murder mystery programs for small groups of young adults, as well as other programs as they become available.
- A youth advisory group made up of interested young adults. This group works with the Youth Outreach Coordinator and acts in an advisory capacity, suggesting changes to library collections, programs, and services as they relate to young adults. The group's other role is to increase active youth involvement in the library and increase awareness among young adults of library services, programs, and collections.
